Chayora Appointing New CEO

BEIJING – April 4, 2023: Chayora, an international infrastructure investor and developer of hyper-scale data center campus in China, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Wei Jing as its new Chief Executive Officer.

James Wei joins Chayora from XForwardAI where he served as CEO. Prior to that, James spent 22 years at China Telecom where he held a number of senior executive roles in China and the US. Following his successful career at China Telecom, James then was board member and vice president of business development for SSE-listed Teamsun.

Joining Mr. Wei in the executive team is Mr. Ke Wenda, who will oversee Chayora’s government relations and further strengthen the executive team. Mr. Ke previously served as CEO of BlueCloud, the cloud services arm of 21Vianet, and held senior roles at Microsoft.

Chayora’s co-founders, Oliver Jones and Jonathan Berney, will continue to support the company in advisory roles to the Board, transitioning from their executive positions. The Board of Chayora extends its gratitude to them for their pivotal role in founding the company and looks forward to their ongoing contributions in an advisory capacity.
