Uptime Institute Tier Certification is highly esteemed in the Chinese market, and Chayora recognized its importance in establishing business credibility and gaining customer trust, which in turn drives interest and demand from both domestic and international clients. As a result, Chayora has become one of the first data centers in China to fully collaborate with Uptime Institute and is working toward achieving Tier III TCOS Gold certification.

Solution

Chayora embarked on the Tianjin data center project with a clear goal: to achieve Tier III TCOS certification. From the initial design phase through to construction and operation, Chayora dedicated substantial time and resources to collaborate with Uptime Institute, ensuring full compliance at every stage. This involved close cooperation with Uptime engineers during the facility's design phase, which is conducive to obtaining the Tier III Certified Design (TCDD). After completing construction, starting up the facility, and undergoing the necessary Uptime assessments, Chayora obtained Tier III Certified Construction (TCCF) in March 2021. The company then focused on securing Tier III TCOS certification, which began in October 2021.

The TCOS assessment from Uptime helps data center owners and operators evaluate the management practices and risks associated with running critical digital infrastructure. It serves as a crucial benchmark for operational efficiency and effectiveness. Organizations with TCOS certification have proven that their data centers are not only well-designed and built but also operate at the expected performance levels.
